Effective April 1, 2007, all participants, inside and outside of California, will have a new nationwide network called BlueCard PPO. This network includes all of the local Blue Cross plans across the country. The new nationwide BlueCard PPO network will allow all participants to enjoy the same network of providers whether seeking services at home or while traveling. California participants will continue to have access to The Industry Health Network.

Important things to remember when using the BlueCard Doctor and Hospital Finder Web site:

• BlueCard PPO behavioral health providers are not covered by the Health Plan. All mental health & chemical dependency must be pre-authorized by ValueOptions by calling (866) 277-5383.
• The site includes a listing of “facilities”, which includes professional medical groups as well as hospitals.
• The site is updated weekly; however, providers can go in and out of the network. You should always call the provider’s office to ensure they are still in network and accepting new patients before scheduling an appointment.
