Forms of Pension Payment Description
Five-Year Certain Payable to the pensioner for life with the guarantee that if the pensioner dies before receiving 60 monthly payments, the remainder are paid to the beneficiary.
Ten-Year Certain Payable to the pensioner for life with the guarantee that if the pensioner dies before receiving 120 monthly payments, the remainder are paid to the beneficiary.
Husband-and-Wife Payable to the pensioner for life and, upon the pensioner’s death, 50% of the monthly amount is payable to the surviving spouse for life.
Joint and Survivor Option Payable to the pensioner for life and, upon the pensioner’s death, 100% of the monthly amount is payable to the contingent annuitant for life.
Pop-Up Option Available with the Husband-and-Wife Pension or Joint and Survivor Option. If the spouse or contingent annuitant dies before the pensioner, the pensioner’s monthly benefit reverts to the Five-Year-Certain form.
Partial Lump Sum Option An initial lump sum payment equal to 12 monthly pension payments is made. Subsequent monthly pension payments are paid in any of the above forms, as elected by the pensioner.

Additional eligibility requirements and information on the amount of monthly pension can be found in the preceding material. Most forms of payment are subject to reduction based on the age of the pensioner and, in some cases, the age of the pensioner’s spouse or contingent annuitant. If you have any questions or want estimates of your pension amount, please contact the Plan Office.
