Mental Health Parity

Updated September 14, 2010: There is more information contained within the Summer 2010 Take 2.

For most plans, the compliance date for Mental Health Parity is January 1, 2010. However, due to special compliance rules for multiemployer Health Plans, the SAG-Producers Health Plan's compliance date is January 1, 2011. We will be spending much of 2010 analyzing the regulations that the Federal government released in January to make sure the Plan complies with Parity. Once the regulations have been analyzed and any changes to the Health Plan approved by the Trustees, this information will be communicated to participants in a Take Two newsletter and other mailings (or e-mails).
