  • U.S. Department of Labor Health Benefits - The Health Benefits Advisor is designed to help workers and their families better understand employer and employee organizations (such as a union), provided group health benefits, and the laws that govern them, especially as pertains to changes in their lives and work situations--such as marriage, childbirth, job loss or retirement.
GOVERNMENT
  • Medicare - Medicare's site has information on coverage, eligibility, enrollment, your Medicare card, replacement card ordering, address changes, and help with health care costs. In addition, you can find out about how to choose a nursing home (alternatives, payment, checklist, patient rights), helpful contacts, view, download, or order Medicare or health related publications, info on how to recognize and prevent fraud and abuse, and material to help you stay healthy.
NETWORKS & CARRIERS
  • Delta Dental Plan of California - Delta Dental Plan is the health carrier for dental coverage. Delta has a nationwide network of dentists. When you use a Delta participating dentist, you do not have to complete any claim forms.
  • BlueCard PPO - Nationwide network for hospital and major medical benefits effective 4/1/2007.
  • John Hancock - John Hancock provides the voluntary Long Term Care Insurance available through the Plan. You may visit the website for additional information about long term care and John Hancock.
  • Vision Service Plan (VSP) - Vision Service Plan is the national network for vision coverage. You can find vision care providers for the Exam Plus Plan on this site.
  • Medco - Medco manages the retail pharmacy network and the Home Delivery Pharmacy (formerly referred to as mail service). You can find a pharmacy, lookup drug information and renew a prescription on this web site.
  • The Industry Health Network (TIHN) - The Health Plan has made arrangements with The Industry Health Network (TIHN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Motion Picture and Television Fund. Though located only in California, it is available to all SAG-Producers Health Plan participants. Its network of physicians and outpatient health centers offers the least expensive option for quality care because when you use a TIHN facility and a TIHN Primary Care Physician (PCP), you have lower annual deductibles and only minor co-payments.
  • Value Options - Mental health and chemical dependency benefits are provided through ValueOptions, the largest managed behavioral health care network in the nation.
RELATED ORGANIZATIONS
  • Screen Actors Guild - The web page of the labor organization which represents the participants in the Pension and Health Plans. Screen Actors Guild negotiates the bargaining agreements under which contributions are made to your benefit plans. If you change address, you must separately notify Screen Actors Guild AND the Plan Office.
  • Actors Fund - The Actors' Fund Human Services Department offers a wide range of social services to working professionals, persons with AIDS, seniors and the disabled and others in need of help. In addition, emergency financial grants may be provided for essentials such as food, rent and medical care.
